Menopause in the Workplace:

Do you work in HR or People Management? Do you know what employees experiencing menopause might need? Could your organisation be offering more support?

Each person experiences menopause differently – the physical symptoms are wide ranging. The impact menopause has on organisations and the economy has been expounded. A Government Advisor states that “Almost one million women have retired early because of the menopause” (The Times, 2021). Personnel Today (2021) warn this is creating a pensions shortfall. The Times (2021) advises “Employment tribunals citing menopause have jumped in the past four years, with experts telling companies to update their policies urgently to avoid litigation”.

On the 3rd & 4th May, we're hosting a 2-day workshop exploring menopause in the workplace. Join us to hear from a range of knowledgeable speakers, learn about recent cutting-edge research and discover the best workplace practices you can adopt to support your employees through menopause.

You will also have the opportunity to network with other businesses in your sector and explore how collaborating with the university can help your business grow. You'll find out more about the potential funding opportunities available to SMEs through the Sheffield Innovation Programme and how we can support businesses in and around the Sheffield City Region to grow and innovate through access to the latest technologies, state-of-the-art facilities, and academic expertise.

This 2-day workshop will cover:
