Get into Rail with SCR Digi-Rail 

Are you an SME in the South Yorkshire MCA region?

Are you curious about getting into Rail? Looking to grow your business into a diverse, interesting and rewarding sector?  But are you confused about where to start?

The Get into Rail workshops are designed to help SMEs understand how to begin their journey enable them to supply the Rail industry. And they are fully funded for eligible SMEs by the SCR Digi-Rail project.  

Giving you valuable information over two days, plus an additional three to four hours of bespoke support, you will learn about the terminology, accreditations and opportunities in the sector.

Attendees will learn:

• How the Rail sector is structured and funded.
• The sub sectors of Rail from track to trains and beyond. And where there are potential opportunities for each business.
• What the main acronyms mean from FOC and TOC to PTS and RAM.
• Who the main UK infrastructure owners are including Network Rail, Metros and Light Rail, and HS2.
• How procurement works in rail and the first steps to becoming a supplier.
• About approvals and accreditations and an overview of health and safety in the sector.
• What the Rail Industry is looking for now including sustainability, decarbonisation and digitalisation.

Beyond the valuable information you will learn, you will also have the opportunity to network.
 

The next SCR Digi-Rail 'Get into Rail' workshops for the South Yorkshire Region will be on 25 and 26 October at the UKRRIN facility in Doncaster (part of the Unipart Rail building).
