DigitalXRAID, an award-winning managed security service provider has announced that it has achieved the most credible environmentally responsible certification from Positive Planet for its carbon neutral cyber security services organisation.
The Positive Planet Carbon Neutral status was awarded to DigitalXRAID as a result of the measurement and offsetting of carbon emissions. The term carbon neutral refers to the work that an organisation undertakes to mitigate the greenhouse gas emissions released into the atmosphere over a certain time period – most commonly over 12 months.
Through carbon offset projects, which directly remove, avoid or capture carbon emissions, organisations are able to achieve carbon neutral status.
As part of the carbon neutral certification, DigitalXRAID have worked with Positive Planet to plant 3,700 trees and recycle 370kg of plastic. In total, DigitalXRAID have offset 370 tCO2e of carbon emissions, putting them in negative carbon emissions for 2022-2023.
Rick Jones, CEO & Co-Founder of DigitalXRAID, said “At DigitalXRAID we believe that businesses of all sizes have a duty to protect our planet. We want to be at the forefront of driving the transition to net-zero emissions and encourage others to take the same steps. It’s fantastic that Positive Planet have officially recognised our commitment to offsetting emissions.
We look forward to the next steps in our net-zero journey and commitment to reduce future carbon emissions even further.”
