Whatever your business is, you and your colleagues need to feel confident with numbers, whether it’s to deal with the maths that comes up as part of the job itself, or to be able to schedule journeys, understand payslips, support your children, or manage your money.
National Numeracy
Fancy becoming a Numeracy Champion within your business? Shockingly, up to half of adults in the UK do not feel confident with numbers and it’s holding us back, both in terms of the self-confidence of employees and the productivity of businesses.
The charity National Numeracy trains Numeracy Champions within organisations, to support teams to get more confident with numbers, or even to start working towards getting a qualification. Numeracy Champions don’t teach maths – they are given the tools and resources to support other adults to feel more confident. It is particularly helpful where there is a need to support staff to progress onto further career development programmes or to feel more prepared to go for internal promotions.
Right now, places on National Numeracy’s CPD accredited Numeracy Champion training programme are available for you or your colleagues, fully funded by South Yorkshire Combined Authority.
