The new contracts were announce by the specialist cloud-based access control company located within Doncaster
OLS Limited, a specialist cloud-based access control company located within Doncaster, are excited to announce their new contract, secured via tender against other suppliers. A freight transporter with around 8,000 employees have tasked OLS with the upgrade of their access control systems across 11 sites in the UK.
Using ACT365 to complete the upgrade, OLS will future proof the freight transporter’s access control by migrating their infrastructure from the 11 different onsite locations to one single centralised system in the cloud. This new cloud-based access control system will enable the management of access control from anywhere at any time, via an Internet connected account. Taking approximately 4 months to deploy across the whole business, this cloud-based access control will replace the freight transporter’s current onsite infrastructure that has been in place for over 8 years, by aligning it to one single access control solution.
Cloud-based access control provides the freight transporter with benefits that include streamlined, fully scalable systems where data is always available, access control is more secure, and changes can be made easily as and when the business needs.
The freight transporter’s 3-year, over £350,000 contract with OLS Limited includes ongoing support and maintenance. Future ongoing costs will be saved with this system, as there is no longer a need for onsite servers and network heavy hardware at each of the 11 locations, and no need for their ongoing maintenance.
Ollie Law, Managing Director of OLS Ltd said, “We’re so pleased to have won this contract thanks to our vast experience in migrating access control to the cloud and our wealth of knowledge in seamlessly integrating these systems with existing software. The freight transporter had their existing system in place since 2014 so was eager to make the right decision in future-proofing their business. They felt OLS was the right decision as we displayed extensive cloud experience, references and an offering that provided a flexible, strategic approach to a full cloud migration. We’re delighted they have chosen OLS as their cloud-based security provider and look forward to a successful partnership moving forwards.”
