Processing your business grant claim

Following the Government’s release of funds to Doncaster Council in order to administer grants to businesses in the borough as part of the coronavirus small business and retail, leisure and hospitality grant funds, we are pleased to tell you that Doncaster Council are now processing grant payments.

The Council appreciates that businesses are relying on these grants to pay bills, staff and overhead costs and is doing everything in its power to get these out to businesses as quickly as possible.

Our revenues staff are working tirelessly to process as many payments as possible to eligible businesses by 24 April 2020.

However, before any payment can be made, each individual request has to be checked to determine a business’s eligibility under the scheme. We ask that you remain patient during these difficult times, as call volumes, grant requests and queries relating to these remain extremely high.

In some cases, the Council’s Business Rates team may need to contact businesses for further information, which could mean payment may take a little longer.

Due to the high volume of enquiries, please do not contact our Business Rates team for an update unless you have not received your payment after seven working days or before 24 April if you have already submitted your claim.

If you have not already submitted a claim, please do so here: https://www.doncaster.gov.uk/doitonline/request-a-small-business-grant-fund-and-retail-hospitality-and-leisure-grant-fund-payment
